With roots that span generations, Hermitage has long been known as one of America’s finest Thoroughbred nurseries. For over 75 years, the farm has been devoted to breeding, boarding, and selling quality yearlings, and more than 200 stakes winners, including 1953 Kentucky Derby winner Dark Star, have called Hermitage home.
The farm's legacy stands as a tribute to the land, the horses, and the people who are Hermitage. Today, we are excited to share this legacy with visitors from around the world. Take a peek inside a working Thoroughbred operation; host your next event at the Main House at Hermitage, a 19th-century estate with 21st-century sensibilities; or visit our special Carriage Driving and Dressage training facility, with an FEI regulation dressage arena, cones course, cross country obstacles, and trail system that is home to the annual Hermitage Classic CDE.
